Area of the Study&#13;
The impact of role stressors on the job satisfaction among the non-executives in the Sri Lankan commercial banking sector is the main area of this study.&#13;
Problem of the Study&#13;
Non-executives in the commercial banking sector in Sri Lanka is a major category of working group whose contribution is significant and important to survival of the banks in the competitive scenario. Success of their working life depends on the high level of day to day job satisfaction. However, the nature of job brings the risky and stressfulness. Therefore, this study is aimed to find out the effect of organizational role stress on the JS of the non-executives in the banking sector.&#13;
Method of the study&#13;
The sample of the study was 252 non-executives and sample was selected as simple random sampling method. Two standard questionnaires were used to gather the primary data and correlation and regression analysis were used to analyses the data.&#13;
Findings of the Study&#13;
The major finding of the study is that there is moderately negative relationship and impact of role stressors on the job satisfaction of banking non-executives.&#13;
Conclusion of the Study&#13;
The main conclusion of the study that the management of the banking companies have to pay their attention to reduce the different role stressors among the non-executives.

Area of the Study&#13;
This study has been conducted to identify the impact of occupational stress on turnover intention of machine operators in selected apparel manufacturing companies in Sri Lanka.&#13;
Problem of the Study&#13;
Due to the lack of empirical findings on the relationship between occupational stress on employee turnover intention, this study is aimed to investigate the relationship between occupational stress and turnover intention of machine operators.&#13;
Method of the study&#13;
The data were collected from machine operators in selected apparel manufacturing firms and the questionnaire which consisted of included 23 questions were used to gather primary data from 178 machine operators. Data were analyzed through SPSS package and it included unvariate and bivariate analyses.&#13;
Findings of the Study&#13;
The finding of the study shows that there is a significant positive relationship between occupational stress and turnover intention among the sample. Furthermore results indicate that supervisory support, work overload, job autonomy, role conflict, role ambiguity and unfairness of reward have significant impact on turnover intention.&#13;
Conclusion of the Study&#13;
It is concluded that occupational stress is one of the significant factors that determine turnover intention of machine operators in the apparel sector organizations. Thus for the future success of the organization, it is advisable for apparel manufacturing firms to formulate strategies to manage the stress of machine operatorsin order to enhance employee retention.

This study mainly focuses to identify the impact of work life balance on employee turnover intention in the selected private banks in Colombo District, Sri Lanka.&#13;
Problem of the Study&#13;
There are no empirical research findings on the impact of work-life balance on employee turnover of the banking employees in Sri Lanka. Therefore, the research problem addressed under the study is “How work life balance impact on employee turnover intention in the selected private banks in Colombo District, Sri Lanka?”&#13;
Method of the study&#13;
The data were collected from a randomly selected sample of 140 employees in the selected private banks in Colombo District, Sri Lanka. Data were collected using structured questionnaire which consists of 20 statements with 5 point Llikert Scale. Data were analysed through SPSS (Version 16) computer package and it included univariate and bivariate analysis.&#13;
Findings of the Study&#13;
The results of the study emphasize that there is a negative impact of work life balance on employee turnover intention. As per the regression analysis, 54.7% of the total variation of employee turnover intention explained by the work life balance. Further, it was proved that there is a negative impact of dimensions of work life balance on employee turnover intention.&#13;
Conclusion of the Study&#13;
It is concluded thatwork life balance is a vital variable to realize the employee turnover intention. Further, this study support for filling the existing theoretical and practical gap in Sri Lankan banking industry, which is mainly helpful to top management to recruit work life balance employees to retain with in the industry.

As a significant determinant of psychological contract to the employment relationship, this study is to investigate the impact of psychological contract on employer-employee relationship in selected apparel organization in Sri Lanka.&#13;
Problem of the Study&#13;
This research study attempts to explore the impact of psychological contract on employer-employee relationship of operational level employees in selected apparel organizations in Sri Lanka. Thus, the research problem of this study was; “Does the psychological contract have an impact on employer-employee relationship of operational level employees in selected apparel organizations.&#13;
Method of the study&#13;
The date was collected from a randomly selected sample of 170 operational employees in apparel industry by using a structured questionnaire, which consisted of 38 statements with a 5 point Likert scale. The data analysis included the univariate and bivariate analysis with the SPSS 16.0 (Version).&#13;
Findings of the Study&#13;
The findings of this study are that, perceived organizational support, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior were positively correlated with transactional and relational psychological contract of sewing machine operators. As the regression analysis 29.9% variation in employer-employee relationship explained by the transactional contract while 50.4% variation in employer-employee relationship explained by the relational psychological contract.&#13;
Conclusion of the Study&#13;
It is concluded that psychological contract is an important variable to explain the employer-employee relationship. This study provides support for filling the gap of theoretical and practical understanding of the employer-employee relationship and psychological contract in apparel industry which is more helpful to maintain favorable relationship with employers and employees.
